The unprecedented spread of COVID-19 is creating social and economic disruption across the world. Everyone has felt its effects on their life, irrespective of their position on the economic, political, or sociological plane. Ongoing global pandemic of corona virus disease 2019 (COVID 19) has compelled almost everyone all over the world to remain at home.

Emerging pandemics show that humans are not infallible, and communities need to be prepared and if this crisis has taught us anything, it is that truly agile companies need to plan for an unfathomable range of exigencies to ensure business continuity. Ursutech devised a strong Business Continuity Plan that covered health and safety, business continuity, client support, and communications that enabled the company to handle COVID-19 crisis with agility. We’re working tirelessly to ensure our employees are safe and healthy and our clients are receiving the top-level service with no disruption. Due to our quick response to situation of pandemic, we were able to mobilize our remote working models efficiently.

What we are doing for our employees:

Ursutech strongly believes that “no one is safe until everyone is safe” and hence safety and well-being of our employees is our top priority. Within the first week of March, general guidelines were established for all employees to work from home, and by March 16, all employee were working from home - well before the government-enforced lockdown, which was announced a week later. Once we initiated the plan, the efficiency of WFH routines had to be taken care of. We ensured employees understand how to access critical business systems as well as firm and/or client information remotely ensuring confidentiality and security. The major concern about a return to the office is the commute. So, we now recommend all employees who can work from home to do so, and employees are enjoying remote working as they are able to spend more time with their loved ones and benefit from the flexibility of the remote working lifestyle compared to our traditional 9-6 office lifestyle.

We postponed face to face meetings and business travels and have been using Microsoft Teams to collaborate amongst each other.

We are organizing events and internal meetings remotely using latest technology that helped us to minimize the impact.

Through our e-learning program, we aim to upskill our employee. We ensure that the employees remain engaged and used the time productively to learn new technologies during their downtime.

We've distributed personal protective gear, such as masks for our employees, and implemented disinfectant spraying and temperature checks inside office premises. Hand-sanitizing stations are installed in office premises especially at the entry and near high contact surfaces.

We have provided our sanitation workers the rubber boots, gloves (heavy duty) and triple layer masks to ensure safety.

We have educated them about the guidelines issued by the Health Ministry and are ensuring that all of us follow the same.

In order to maintain the well-being of the employees, we are organizing multiple virtual programs. We are in regular touch with all employees to keep a check on their wellbeing and ensure their safety in this critical hour.

What we are doing for customers:

At Ursutech, we are working closely with our customers across the world to keep them up and running. Our clients have trusted Ursutech to manage their system. We will continue to keep earning their trust by working together to navigate through these difficult times.

We are operating efficiently in this unfolding crisis, with minimal impact on critical business and operational processes.

We have daily stand up meetings to make sure that everybody is reporting their tasks to the manager and is aware of all their upcoming tasks in a very efficient manner.

We are also ensuring that all employees are offering high-touch, collaborative support to clients through video and chat. We are flexible to work at any time to cater to customer’s need. We are ensuring that there is no roadblock in the way of ensuring quality delivery.

What we are doing for Society:

In the present era of covid-19, we are promoting social awareness for social distancing as it plays a pivotal role in order to mitigate the spread of this deadly infection. We are educating our employees and clients about ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through messages and emails.

There are significant changes to our lives as we restrict our movements to contain and slow down the virus spread. Working from home, online classes/schooling of children at home, and lack of physical contact with friends, colleagues and relatives is likely to cause distress and emotional breakdown. So, we are providing guidance and advice, innovative training to all our employees to keep them motivated.

We are putting up hoardings and banners at important junctions and public properties to create awareness on safety measures to be followed to prevent spread of COVID-19.
